Playlist Memories Part 10
Updated: Apr 29, 2021
We used to play this game where two people would shout out random words and we type them into the YouTube search box and watch the video (with safe search on of course). One day Alexander said "Tartar" and Dave said "Minotaur" and that's how we got the Mini Minotaur song listed below.
Here are a few other notables. The names and words are from my the best of my memory but the links are saved on a playlist so I know they're right.
Dave said "Galaxy" and "Phaedra said "Wizard"
Alexander said "Lego" and "Phaedra said "Silly"
I said Star Wars and Alexander said "Dessert" (or was it Desert?)
Love Can Build A Bridge by The Judds
My stepmom actually won a singing contest with this gem. The Judds were such a county powerhouse when I was a kid. I have never seen this video before now and must say it is not at all what I expected.
Love, Me by Collin Raye
My favorite love song and used to be my all time favorite song. This is the kind of song that you feel in your core.
Love The Way You Lie by Eminem feat. Rihanna
This one got added at one point and just never got removed. Both artists are very talented and very different. Also seeing Dominic Monaghan who played Merry Brandybuck the halfling from Lord of the Rings in it is pretty wild and always makes me chuckle.
Lullaby by Shawn Mullins
This was an unexpected favorite during a troubling time in my life.
ME! by Taylor Swift feat. Brendon Urie
We have a diehard "swifty" in our house. Not a bad song, girl can sing for sure.
The Metal by Tenacious D
Man I would love to hang out with Jack Black, dude is such fun. I first found this song when we played Guitar Hero all the time. I practiced this song till I got it perfect.
Miami by Will Smith
We've got Fresh Prince fans in our house too. This song was EVERYWHERE in the 90s and like most catchy songs it comes back around. Will Smith isn't just a great actor and singer he seems like a genuinely great guy.
The Mini Minotaur Song by Toby Turner & Tobuscus
Kind of a weird family insider thing but it's been on the list now it has an odd sentimental value.
Mountain Music by Alabama
You know how sometimes when you're bored music will just pop into your head out of nowhere? For me, it is frequently this song.
My House by Flo Rida
This is one of those where (most) all of us break out into song the moment we hear it. It's a fun ride with a catchy beat. Having just seen this one for the first time I am glad the van doesn't stream music videos.
